Mentorship by and for Indigenous communities

our mission

Developing access to culturally tailored mentorship for Indigenous entrepreneurs

Trust and cultural understanding have a significant impact on the quality of a mentoring relationship.

Réseau Mentorat, in co-development with existing Indigenous support organizations, offers innovative projects based on several principles:

Our collaborative programs

These programs reflect the Réseau Mentorat’s commitment to empowerment and community success within both Indigenous and non-Indigenous entrepreneurial landscapes.

Réseau Mentorat will support partners throughout the project by leveraging its expertise in the implementation, management, and promotion of a mentoring service, volunteer management, client experience, as well as the training and accreditation of mentors.

Réseau Mentorat x Niimuudaan

In collaboration with Réseau Mentorat, the Secretariat to the Cree Nation Abitibi-Témiscamingue Economic Alliance (SAENCAT) supports entrepreneurs from the Eeyou community by developing its mentorship service designed by and for the Cree community (culturally tailored mentorship).

The SAENCAT's mission is to promote sustainable connections and socio-economic alliances between the Cree Nation (Eeyou Istchee), Jamésie, Abitibi-Témiscamingue, and Nunavik, in order to foster harmonious development.

Mentors are experienced business people from the Cree Nation who are dedicated to supporting the next generation. Through their lived experiences, active listening, and thoughtful questioning, the mentors support entrepreneurs in both developing their entrepreneurial skills and enhancing their well-being.

The project is funded by the Ministry of Economy, Innovation, and Energy.
